                    Dr. John Kim is the primary care optometrist at Ironwood Optometry. A native of British Columbia, Dr. Kim received his Bachelors of Science degree from the University of British Columbia before earning his Doctor of Optometry and Master of Science in Vision Science from the State University of New York School of Optometry. He then completed his residency in Cornea and Contact Lenses at State University of New York School of Optometry. Thereafter, for 10 years, Dr. Kim served in academia as a Clinical Professor at State University of New York School of Optometry. He also worked for six years at St Mary’s Eye and Surgery Center, a top ophthalmology practice in New York and New Jersey.
                    In addition to giving exceptional optometric exams for general eye health and vision correction, Dr. Kim also specializes in contact lenses fitting, and diagnosis cataracts, retinal pathologies and early detection glaucoma. He also has experience with pediatrics, infant vision, low vision and pre- and post-operative LASIK & cataract surgery.

                    Dr Christine Wang graduated from Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton California in 2009. She completed her externships at the Los Angeles VA Hospital, the Travis Air Force Base, and the Optometric Clinic in Los Angeles (O.L.C.A.). Dr Wang raised in Richmond attended London/Steveston High School, then graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Biology degree in 2004. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society during university. Her fields of optometry expertise includes Pediatrics, Contact Lenses and Ocular Disease. Also, Dr. Wang is fully fluent in English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese as well as conversational in French and Spanish. Dr Wang's main interests include hiking, soccer, swimming, skiing and badminton. In 1999, she received the Richmond News Student Athlete Honor Award for her extracurricular achievements as a student.
